SUMMARY OF JOB ROLE:
The Regional Accountant oversees core financial operations, including customer inflows and real estate transactions. They handle budgeting, forecasting, and financial control for the region, ensuring policy consistency. Serving as financial partners to other departments, they prepare reports, manage petty cash, and ensure timely bank reconciliations for all accounts. The role emphasizes financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and strong financial collaboration within the region.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Responsible for accounting of core operations of the region including customer inflows, bonds, expenses, and other related real estate transactions
· Prepare relevant regional reports and analysis in respect of the regions as may be required by management
· Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and financial control of the region
· Acts as business partners for other departments of the region on financial and reporting matters
· Operationally, ensure consistency of application of policies and financial processes at the region
· Monthly regional financial report preparation
· Handling the petty cash payments effectively for smooth operation of the region
· Ensures timely and accurate weekly & monthly bank reconciliation for all accounts of the region and take prompt action on reconciling item.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS
· BSc/HND degree in Accountancy or relevant field of study
· A minimum of 3 years work experience as an Accountant in a medium/large sized reputable company is required.
· Associate member of Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA) or similar professional certification is an advantage.
· Strong financial analysis, reporting and management skill.
· Treasury and investment management skill.
· Ability to interpret financial reports for management decisions.
· Fraud prevention, detection, and investigation skill
